WHAT IS THE LEGAL STATUS OF ALDBURY COMMUNITY SUPPORT?
We are structured as a Foundation Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) which is a private company, limited by guarantee, where the only members are the trustees. We are bound by our constitution as our governing document and our accounts and annual return are sent to the Charities Commission each year.
HOW CAN I SUPPORT ACS?
By becoming a Friend of Aldbury Community Support you can become a supporter of its work. You will play a role in the running of the charity and, in so doing, make a positive contribution to the village and surrounding area. In return ACS will keep you updated on the work that it is doing, invite you to special events and seek your opinion on
specific local issues. There is also the option of donating funds to ACS and we are set up to receive Gift Aid.
WHO CAN BECOME A FRIEND OF ACS?
The Friends scheme is open to anyone over 18 who lives within the area of benefit and who shares a common interest in the purpose of ACS. In due course it is likely that the scheme will be extended to enable companies and other organisations to join too.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO BECOME A FRIEND?
It is free to become a Friend of ACS and we will check each year that you wish your membership to continue. We will keep you updated on our activities and seek your opinion on specific local issues. The work of ACS is supported entirely by grant funding alongside donations from individuals and local organisations. If you wish to make a donation to support the work of the group, it will always be gratefully received.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW?
In order for ACS to be able to provide you with updates and invite you to special events it will require your consent to
hold details of your name, address, email and telephone number. Rest assured ACS will not pass on your information to any third parties.
